Assistant Student Support - 190032T 

 

 

Description

 

Job Summary

Assist with daily processes including but not limited to, student admission, registration and testing support.  Provide office support within assigned department.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Perform a variety of front-line customer services tasks with minimal supervision, including but not limited to providing information and addressing concerns of students, parents, staff and other external contacts.

 

Process and maintain department records and files including but not limited to student attendance, grades, Learning Management System (LMS) documentation, reporting requirements.

 

Provide department information and assistance to students, staff and external contacts as needed.

 

Answer and respond to inquiries and provide services or information to help customers obtain desired student support services.

 

Assist with student activities and events.

 

May work alternate schedules, including evening and weekend hours.

 

Perform other duties, tasks and assignments as required.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

Education & Experience       

  • High school diploma or equivalent required

  • 1 year combined experience of general office and customer service required 

Licensing & Certification

  • Valid Texas Driver License

Working Conditions

General office.  May frequently be required to walk; stand; sit; use hands to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and distance vision.  Use of personal computing equipment, telephone, multi-functioning printer, photocopier, file cabinets, and calculator.  Manual dexterity, ability to lift up to 25 pounds, ability to reach and bend, and use 2-step stool while safely lifting and lowering boxes.  Ability to travel to and from meetings, training sessions or other business-related events.  May be required to work after hours to include weekends and holidays.
