Bergen Community College has an opportunity for a Part-Time Office Assistant in our Hackensack location. Responsibilities will include greeting visitors, answering telephones, responding to questions or requests, and conveying messages as required; coordinating weekly meetings, updating staff and teachers and maintaining calendar appointments; preparing, entering and filing student records; maintaining accuracy of database; ensuring the efficient daily operation of the office and department functions, including maintenance of supplies and equipment; organizing and maintaining office filing system; receiving and responding to correspondence requests; providing administrative support to other staff as needed; performing other duties as assigned.
Required: Associates degree required; Bachelor’s degree is preferred. Must have excellent analytical skills and attention to detail; demonstrated ability to manage your time, as well as plan and prioritize your work; ability to work in a team environment; organized, punctual and able to meet deadlines; proficiency in computer applications, including databases and spreadsheets; excellent oral and written communication skills; ability to multi-task and manage multiple priorities simultaneously; excellent planning and organizational skills; ability to use MS Office Suite.
