Ensure friendly and efficient service to students, staff and faculty utilizing the student health clinic and other Center for Health and Counseling Services.
Essential Responsibilities and Duties
Schedule appointments for clinic, counseling, health educators and director.
Answer phones and provide reminder calls.
Answer basic questions about the Center for Health and Counseling Services.
Accurately manage detailed patient records and input client data in computer system.
Participate in weekly staff meetings.
Process Medication Assistance forms.
Ability to read PPD’s.
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Certified Medical Administration Assistant or Medical Receptionist with 6 months’ experience working in a medical or health setting.
A valid driver’s license is required.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Ability to be CPR certified within 3 months of hire.
Ability to handle confidential material.
Familiarity with database and word processing programs.
Knowledge of common filing systems.
Competency in business math.
Ability to handle crisis situations.
Follow written and oral instructions and directions effectively.
Strong business English skills, including effective writing, spelling and vocabulary.
Relate and communicate well with a diverse population.
Ability to communicate effectively with a broad range of diverse people, ability, culture, ethnic background, to maintain good working relationships across the College. Ability to work with all groups in a diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural and ethnic background of community college students, faculty and staff, including those with disabilities.
