Assistant Professor/Instructor, Tenure-Track Position
Martin Methodist College is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Assistant Professor/Instructor of Mathematics. This is a full-time position with responsibilities teaching undergraduate courses in the Mathematics program. The teaching assignment should include general education courses in Statistics, along with other general education courses, developmental courses, and upper-level courses in Mathematics/Statistics as appropriate. Other duties will include providing service to the department, college, and community; advising students in the Mathematics program; working with students on senior projects; and participating in professional activities. Salary is competitive.
Earned master's degree in Statistics or Mathematics (with emphasis in Statistics) for instructorship; terminal degree for assistant professor;
Strong commitment to undergraduate education and a desire to prepare outstanding professionals;
Commitment to professional development and service that is consistent with the College's priorities for the Division of Math and Science; and
Commitment to working in diverse academic and professional communities.
